1925
Charles enters Washington University in St. Louis, however
he will not leave with the architectural degree he pursues. This year the
impending war is being set up by Hitler who publishes Mein Kampf.
1929
Charles marries his fellow student Catherine Woermann. The
honeymoon is in Mexico, in which Charles finds inspiration to design churches.
He goes on to design several churches before he starts on the Eames House. This
year the stock market crashes as well, and the first academy award is
presented.
1930
Gandhi starts the
Salt march as a nonviolent protest, meanwhile Charles designs in St. Louis,
Missouri and Arkansas.
1932
This year air conditioning is invented; scientists split the
atom.
1933
Prohibition ends in the USA.
